The showroom & demo world
How an optional downloaded showroom differs from the interactive demo shown on a live pack page.
A pack may have a downloadable showroom, a hosted demo world, both, or neither. Check the live pack page and downloaded README instead of assuming either preview is included.
Downloaded showroom#
When present, preview/showroom.html is a browser-based inspector for the files in that bundle. Depending on the pack, it may provide search, click-to-inspect controls, model statistics, or palette previews.
Current showroom files may fetch browser libraries or fonts from third parties. Follow the README and do not assume the page is self-contained or works without a network connection. The showroom is a reference tool, not a runtime dependency for the GLBs.
Hosted demo world#
A pack page can show an interactive world assembled from the pack. The public viewer uses an optimized world GLB and supports orbit controls; it can also play animation clips embedded in that file.
The hosted demo advertises the pack. Its scene source, generator project, and source HTML are not included with a normal pack download. Build your own scene from the licensed individual GLBs and any included prebuilds.
Preview versus download#
| Artifact | Purpose | Included in the pack ZIP? |
|---|---|---|
| Showroom | Inspect the downloaded pack | Optional |
| Hosted demo world | Preview a pack before or after purchase | No source project |
| Individual GLBs | Compose your own scene | When listed for that pack |
| Catalog GLB | Inspect many models in one joined file | Optional |
| Components and palettes | Framework helpers and reference data | Optional |
