The newsletter covers new packs, release notes, and the occasional deep-dive on how something was built. Usually monthly, never more than weekly.

Where you can sign up

  • The signup form in the site footer.
  • The signup prompt that appears on some pages.
  • The call to action on blog posts and on the newsletter archive.
  • The optional step on the confirmation page after a purchase.
  • Account → Profile, if you are signed in.

Confirming your address

Signing up from a public form sends you a confirmation email. Open it and press the confirm button on the page it links to — opening the link alone is not enough, because mail scanners fetch links without a human ever seeing them. Once you confirm, a short welcome email follows and you are on the list.

Confirmation links are valid for seven days.

If you sign up while signed in to your account — from Account → Profile, or from the step after a purchase using your account's email address — there is no confirmation email. Your session already proves the address, so the subscription starts immediately. If you had signed up earlier and never confirmed, the button on Account → Profile finishes that signup for you.

If the confirmation email does not arrive

  1. Check your spam or promotions folder, and any corporate mail filter.
  2. Make sure you used the address you meant to — a typo means the email went somewhere else. Just sign up again with the correct one.
  3. Open the confirmation link you do have. If it has expired, that page offers to send a fresh confirmation email: enter your address and request one.

There is a ten-minute wait between confirmation emails requested from the public forms, so a second request right away will not produce a second email.

If mail to your address has bounced repeatedly, or the address was used to report one of our emails as spam, signup forms will not start sending again. See Managing your email preferences for what to do instead.

Reading past issues

The newsletter archive lists the issues we have published, newest first, with a reading time for each. Not every issue is published there — some are sent to the list only — so the archive is a sample of what you get rather than a complete history.

To stop receiving the newsletter, or to change which emails you get, see Managing your email preferences.
