Billing, tax & invoices
What checkout collects, how tax is shown, and where to download your invoices and credit notes.

Payments are processed by Stripe: packs and bundles are one-time payments, and plans are subscriptions that renew until you cancel. New products are priced tax-inclusive: the price on the product page already includes tax where tax applies, so your total does not grow when you reach Stripe.
Billing details and tax#
Stripe Checkout collects a billing address. Depending on your location, it may also request a tax ID and show how tax was applied. The exact treatment depends on where you are buying from, so review the total Stripe shows before confirming payment.
Prices are displayed in USD. Your card provider may convert the charge and apply its own exchange rate or fee.
Where your invoices are#
Account → Billing lists your one-time orders in four columns — Product, Date, Total, and Invoice — with a status badge, the discount code when one was used, and any automatic credit as Credit applied: followed by the offer and the amount, for example Credit applied: <offer> −$X.
The Invoice column is where you download the paperwork:
- Download invoice — the invoice for that order, as a PDF.
- Download credit note — shown next to it when the order was refunded.
- View receipt — the Stripe receipt, for an order that has no invoice to download.
If a download does not produce a PDF, the Billing page tells you why. The usual one is Your invoice is still being prepared: the invoice has not been finalised yet, so check back later or contact support if you need it sooner. If you download many invoices in a short time, you are asked to wait a minute and try again.
Subscription invoices#
Every subscription you pay for gets its own card on the Billing tab, with its own invoices. Each invoice row shows the Billing period, Date, Total, and an Invoice link (View invoice). A few rows carry a badge:
- Credit — the unused time on a plan you moved away from. A line underneath reads "Unused time on the plan you left".
- Plan change — the adjustment charged when you switched plans. Its period can overlap a regular invoice; that is the window being adjusted, not a double charge.
- Refunded / Partly refunded — the refund is shown under the total, never netted into it.
- Due — the invoice has not been paid yet.
Invoices from plans you no longer have are listed under Earlier subscriptions. Manage subscription opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can update your card, see past invoices, and cancel. See Subscriptions & plans.
